A Spring Bloom with New Thoughts

A spring bloom with new thoughts

Classes | Creativity | Wellness | Festivals

We are now officially in spring. Let the sunshine shine more on us and keep us warm, cosy, and full of optimism.

With all the optimism in me and such a love for life, I can tell you that day-to-day life is mostly not all roses and sunshine.

The past month has been one of those times for me where not many plans unfolded the way I thought they would be. To juggle without much wiggle room has put me in a situation where I have had to rethink many things, change priorities and quickly start working on Plan B. Sometimes it even means looking at whether an entire belief system needs to change as life changes. Aren’t we all doing that in some way?

It is easy to look at someone’s life from the outside and think they have everything under control, but we never really know someone else’s path. I am usually a solution finder and prefer to keep moving. But sometimes we need to stop and ask ourselves:  What can I learn from this? What is still possible? Can I let go of this completely for the time being? And so on.

On another note, the Spice & Wellness Festival last month brought together a lovely bunch of curious people with questions and keen interest in the Wellness Gift Basket. It has inspired me to create a 21 Questions for Wellness series that can help bring more balance into everyday life. The series will be shared on Holistic Wellness NZ Facebook and Instagram, and my personal Instagram this month, so i would love to meet you there.

There is plenty happening this month, with a Balanced Indian Meal cooking class tomorrow (few spots left) and a Wellness Market in the morning.. Next weekend, it will be time to relax and explore the Brushes & Nourishing Brunch, a mindful painting workshop. A little mix of colour, creativity, food and mindfulness. Have a look below and join in where something catches your interest.

As for now. Here are a few questions for all of you to write, possibly in a notepad.

  • What is working well in my life, and what is not?

  • What do I need more of that will give me energy, strength and joy?

  • What would I like to do differently? And am I doing anything about it? Have I set a date to get something done that could be useful for my future and the people around me?

There are no perfect answers. The important thing is to start asking.

With love,
Anju
