Every time I see poppies, I have this urge to get my colours and palettes and start painting. Such delicate flowers, with amazing shapes, and shades and perfect height for them to swing with the wind. Love watching them. Painting them is not so easy, but I try my best.
Another inspiration was this beautiful ‘rose madder shade’. I love the shade in the background and wanted to use that as soon as I bought it. This creation was inspired by flowers from our Auckland Botanical Garden,
