A little bird is there every morning when I wake up. He is there when I am down with my mood or I am happy and excited about something and wish to share with someone… he is there… or sometimes I feel like he is just trying to get my attention. He is my Baba (my dad)
My father passed away in the year 2000 and I painted this in his memory. He always used to say, “I will be with you wherever you go and I will look after you.” These happy birds chirping around every day remind me of my Dad……a happy, free soul who only knew how to love others. Wherever I am in my life right now, that is his faith in me and the confidence he has given me for a lifetime without knowing.
The colours represented are blue and green…calm, collective and free… yellow is used as sparkling light, to capture attention; ‘I am here, slow down, don’t work too hard, go watch sunset… and all that he used to say.
